How to Plan a Writing Project

How to Plan a Writing Project:
.Decide on a project. “I want my students to write a --------.”
.Decide which writing elements you want demonstrated in the final product.
.Create a rubric to evaluate those elements.
.Make a model of an “excellent” example.
.Optional: Make a checklist for peer evaluation.
.Choose minilessons based on the model/rubric.
.Pace your minilessons.
.Enjoy your ready-to-go writing project next year.
